USM wins new US$45 million integrated facilities management contract

NORRISTOWN, PA - Transfield Services’ facilities management subsidiary, USM, has been awarded a US$45 million contract to provide an integrated facilities management [I-FM] solution to Clear Channel Communications, Inc. in the United States over three-years.
Chief Executive Officer, USM, Mr George Spink, said today: “USM’s I-FM solution increases efficiency by improving asset performance and reliability.”
“This contract expands Transfield Services’ US facilities management portfolio into a new and vital industry,” he said.
USM will provide preventative and reactive maintenance services to approximately 1,300 Clear Channel Communications radio, transmitter and operations sites across the U.S. including heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing and lighting services, and snow and ice management.
USM expects to commence work for Clear Channel Communications by February 2010.
