USM's Carl Nottberg Appointed to the PRSM Education Committee and SPECS Advisory Board

NORRISTOWN, PA - USM is pleased to announce that Carl Nottberg, Vice President of Account Management, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Professional Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM) Association's Education Committee and the SPECS 2011 Advisory Board.  SPECS is the Store Planning, Equipment, Construction Seminar that occurs annually for chain store executives across the country.

Carl's participation on the PRSM committee will be instrumental in developing programs and services that will add value to the PRSM Association membership and to the retail industry in general. This committee’s purpose is to develop and recommend an Annual Education Agenda consisting of quality educational programs for the PRSM National Conference, Mid-Year Conference webinars, PRSM Live and other educational offerings by ensuring that PRSM addresses current, topical issues facing retail facilities maintenance professionals. The goal of this committee is to raise the knowledge level and standards within the facilities maintenance industry.The term of his appointment spans from April 2010 through April 2011.  In partnership with the Board Chair and the Board Liaison, Carl will have the ability to guide the direction of the committee by recommending new or revised programs that meet the ever-changing needs this our growing organization.

Carl has also been invited to participate on the SPECS 2011 Advisory Board for the show that will occur on March 13-16, 2011 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas. His commitment to the Advisory Board includes assisting other Advisory Board members in developing the education session for SPECS 2011. The Advisory Board will determine what topics and sessions are important to the retailers and vendors to cover at next year’s show.

Both of these appointments require nomination and approval by each association's respective committees.  "It is an honor to be able to serve the PRSM and SPECS communities as well as to contribute to the continued education and awareness of the retail industry," said Nottberg.
