New Chief Executive for North American Business
Mr Ames has more than 20 years of global experience in senior roles in various industries spanning a wide range of services, including engineering and construction, facilities management, security and logistics. He was most recently president of Day & Zimmermann's Government Services business in the U.S, and his experience covers both the private and the public sectors. Mr Ames will be responsible for managing and growing the North American business, which includes our three wholly owned subsidiaries, facilities management specialist, USM; industrial services company, TIMEC; and Transfield Services Transportation Infrastructure and our Canadian oil sands joint venture. The North American business contributed 34 per cent of total revenue for the Transfield Services group in FY09. Transfield Services Managing Director and Chief Executive, Dr Peter Goode, said today: “After an extensive international search, I am very pleased to announce that an executive with such high credentials and extensive experience is joining our senior management team. Mr Ames’ experience is well aligned with our Company’s business objectives. I look forward to working with him to continue to build our North American business.” |
